Nails Of The Week | Manicure Monday

I decided to go for a little throwback this week by using one of the nail polishes from the Rimmel 'Space Dust' collection. I actually forgot how much I loved these until recently when I was looking for a pink, glittery nail polish to match a pink and black lace playsuit that I'll be wearing this weekend for my friends birthday party. Also, during the weekend I was re-organising my nail polish collection and I'm not going to lie to you, but I was doing this to make room for some more that are coming my way shortly. Yeah, I have a serious problem.

On my nails:

Models Own - 5 In 1 Top & Base Coat
Rimmel - Aurora

What do you think of my NOTW? Would you wear it? Let me know in the comments!

June Favourites

I've been looking forward to writing this post for two reasons...

1. It's my first ever monthly favourites post!
2. I've included some products that I can see myself repurchasing and loving for a very long time.

For some reason I've hardly worn any make-up throughout June. I don't know exactly know why this is, however it could be down to the fact that I've had next to no plans and haven't been anywhere very exciting that would require a lot of make-up. But anyway, wearing no or very little make-up this month has encouraged me to try out a lot of skincare items that I haven't tried yet.

REN Rosa Centifolia Hot Cloth Cleanser

This seems to have been my go-to cleanser this month and probably my favourite skincare item of the month as well. I got this simply because I wanted a cleanser that cleansed my skin and made it soft without stripping or drying out my skin. The weather being pretty weird in Northern Ireland at the minute, it's hot but cloudy so it feels as if there's no air and it feels as if my skin can't breathe either. Using this makes my skin feel so purified and removes that horrible congested feeling from my skin. I can see myself repurchasing this over and over again. My Mum even asked me to order her one for herself because she's such a fan of it as well!

Dove Summer Glow Nourishing Lotion (Fair To Medium Skin)

Tanning isn't easy for us pale girls. There's no chance of catching a tan in Northern Ireland and I only use fake tan if I have an event or a night out to go to. So, Dove Summer Glow seems to be a perfect match for me. I'm also lazy at applying moisturiser, there's nothing nice about waiting around for your moisturiser to dry so that you can get dressed. However, I apply this straight after I come out of the shower and it sinks in straight away. Also, I have no problems about it being too dark either, it applies gradually and evenly so there's no need to worry about patchy parts either. I got the Fair To Medium Skin bottle, but there's also a Medium To Dark Skin bottle available as well. There's also no 'fake tan' smell either unlike with other so-called 'gradual tan' moisturisers as well, which is beyond ideal!

Soap & Glory Smooch Operator Lip Butter Balm

You've probably seen this mentioned before on my blog on my Boots Haul. I've been looking for this for ages, they never had it in my local Boots and it was always out of stock online, so I was beginning to lose hope. Then, one fine day when I was browsing through the aisles of another Boots, I saw one sitting there all by itself in all it's glory and I practically ran and leaped to get it. To be honest, I was only after this because it said it tasted like coconut ice (my absolute favourite) and it did not disappoint! It tastes like sweet, glorious coconut ice and after it a while it tingles on the lips and tastes like mint. It's also surprisingly nourishing and moisturising, just great if you need all day protection for your lips without having to apply lip balm constantly.

Benefit b.right It's Potent! Eye Cream

Again, you've probably seen this mentioned before on blog on my Feel Unique Haul and I also did a review of the entire Benefit b.right Radiant Skincare 6 Piece Intro Kit. Eye cream is one of those products that I know I should have been using but didn't bother. However, since I got this kit I've made a real effort to use this and now it's a staple product in my night-time skincare routine. I haven't been sleeping right at the minute and this helps me to actually look as if I've had some sleep. It really soothes my eyes and reduces the appearance of dark circles. This is only the sample size I've been using, but I've been using it for about a month and a half/2 months now and there's still lots of product left. I'll definitely be picking up the full size when I'm finished.

Models Own 5 In 1 Top & Base Coat

I feel as if I haven't stopped talking about this product. Again, I searched high and low for this in Boots and Superdrug and it was always out of stock. Then, on a recent Boohoo snoop I saw that they had them and was so pleased when I got it. I just wanted a cheaper base and top coat nail polish that actually protected my nails against nail polish staining and prevented my nail polish chipping. So far, I've used this with every manicure I've done so far and I really can't fault it so far. I change my nail polish every week, but with this product I don't think that would be necessary if you're someone who likes to have their nail polish on as long as possible. At only £5, I can't see myself purchasing any other base and top coats for a long time.

Now onto discussing these completely random non-beauty favourites...

I wasn't too impressed when I went into my local Primark on my last visit, however they did have these little Dumbo Slipper Socks which were too cute to resist! Being a huge Disney fan, how could I not have bought them?

I've read The Fault In Our Stars before, but I thought I'd read it again saying as the movie is now out in cinemas. This is a truly great book, I really recommend reading it if you want something easy to read, yet pulls on your heartstring. However, I feel as if I'm the only person who didn't cry when reading the book. Either I'm missing something or I'm a robot. Oh well.

The only good thing about the football being on all the time is Pringles. When there is football on, there seems to be an endless supply of Pringles in my house, which makes the horrendous football chanting that I hear coming from the living room sort-of almost bearable.

An extra special mention has to go to Ed Sheeran's latest album, X. This beats every single thing on my June favourites by a mile. Easily I'd say Ed Sheeran is definitely in my top 3 of favourite artists, and when I think about it, he's probably first. Of course, I was expecting X to be a little different when I heard 'Sing', although I was not disappointed. There is not a 'bad' song on the album and I enjoy listening to every single one. However, my favourites would have to be 'One', 'Photograph', 'Tenerife Sea', 'Thinking Out Loud' and 'All Of The Stars', but it seems like I have a new favourite song from the album every day!

What do you think of my June favourites? Do you have any favourites? Let me know in the comments!

The Body Shop Haul

So, I went onto The Body Shop website to order a couple of things, I was sucked in by their offer they had on at the time and here's the results. Do I regret it? Not at all!

£10

Hands up who else has seen this circling around beauty blogger world recently? Yeah, me to and obviously I was intrigued. To be honest, this is the first cleansing oil I've ever bought before and the idea of putting oil onto my face terrifies me. But hey, I'll give it a go!

£5

This is 100% most definitely an Essie Button inspired purchase. I've been following her blog and YouTube channel for a very long time now and in a few of her blog posts and videos she mentioned this. She has the most amazing skin so I definitely trust her recommendations, even if her blog posts and videos do make me want to buy absolutely everything!

£13

When I'm stressed I suffer from really back eczema on my hands which can actually be really irritating and painful sometimes. All my other hand creams I had in my stash either seemed to irritate my skin further or just did nothing to help. So, I thought I would at least give this a try and see how it goes.

Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder - 01 Light Matte
£13

Rumour has it that this bronzer is the best one that a porcelain skin girl can own. I've always been scared of bronzers because I'm so pale, I just didn't want to apply them and end up looking like I've rolled in mud or cheese Dorito's, so I've just never bothered to buy them. However, so many people have recommended this I thought I could at least try it and if I didn't like it my Mum would gladly re-home it. However, I have been seriously loving this so far, so sorry Mum, no new bronzer for you, although I promise to let you borrow it!

£4

I love coconut, I love lip balms and lip butters, so this obviously had to happen. At some point I will become that person crazy person who owns the entire coconut range from The Body Shop, just wait and see!

£7

I actually got this for free because I got one of the Love Your Body reward cards that The Body Shop offer, and who doesn't love a free gift! To be honest, I didn't think that I would use this, but it's actually like a really cold jelly, which will be perfect for me at the end of the day when my eyes are strained and sore from being on my laptop all day.

So, that's everything from my The Body Shop haul! I've tried everything from the haul so far and so far, so good! Of course I will be doing a review of these products in the future, but I can't see myself disliking any of the products as I've enjoyed using them so far. I'm also temped to make another order, those Colour Crush Shine Lipsticks look so darn good!

What do you think of my The Body Shop haul? Would you buy anything from it? Or have you already tried some of these products? Would you recommend anything else from The Body Shop? Let me know in the comments!

Superfacialist By Una Brennan Tea Flower Pore Purifying Clay Mask

I've heard a lot of good things about the Superfacialist range from Una Brennan. The range has four different categories; Rose, Neroli, Vitamin C+ and Tea Flower. I am personally more drawn to the Tea Flower range as it is more suited to my skin. I've tried the Purify & Refresh Facial Scrub and I was impressed, so I was keen to try out more from this range. So, I decided to give the Pore Purifying Clay Mask a go as I've heard that it is a great budget clay mask and it claims to be 'A detoxifying mask to unclog pores and restore skin balance'.

The mask contains an ingredient that I know work well with my skin (Salicylic Acid), as well as a whole host of other skin-loving ingredients, such as dead sea mud, avocado oil (containing vitamin A, D and E) and acacia honey.
The consistency of this clay mask is actually quite thin compared to other clay masks that I've tried in the past, but that's actually a good thing because it takes less time to apply and remove and it gets to work much faster.
What I like the most about this mask is that when you apply it, your skin goes all tingly as you work it into your skin. You can really feel it getting to work on unclogging those pesky pores and clearing out all the impurities from your skin. It even works well at drying up blemishes without being too harsh or stripping on the skin.

I really do love using this mask, I usually use it once a week to keep my skin looking as clear as it can be and at £8.99, you can't really go wrong. However, I would say that it is definitely more suited to normal/combination/oily skin types as opposed to dry skin types as it feels as if it could be quite drying if you have dry skin. The rose range would probably be more suited to dry skin types as they have an Intense Moisture Mask, which I've also heard good things about and can see myself purchasing in the future.

What do you think of the Superfacialist range by Una Brennan? Have you tried anything from it? Or would you like to try anything from it? Let me know in the comments!

Dorothy Perkins Haul

Now, Dorothy Perkins isn't a shop that I would normally venture into or have a browse through online. But recently my mum decided that she needed a new handbag and wanted me to look on Dorothy Perkins. So, when I did I didn't expect to find so many beautiful clothes that I instantly fell in love with, I was so surprised! Probably just because my local Dorothy Perkins stocks the clothes that aren't really my cup of tea, but seriously, if I won the lottery I would definitely be hitting up Dorothy Perkins. They even do a petite range and student discount, so that's a double bonus for me! So, here's what I bought...

Nude Crepe Biker Jacket
£38

I love this style of jacket, but every time I saw one it was leather and I just don't think I can pull leather off. So, when I saw this one I knew I had to have it! It's the perfect jacket for summer in Northern Ireland as you don't know what the weather will be like, typical!

Blue Crepe Trim Shell Top
£28

I love wearing tops like this if you want to dress-up a bit and make an effort without making too much of an effort. I recently wore this out with white jeans and high heels and it was so effortless but still looked as if I made an effort getting ready!

All About Rose Pink 3D Effect Rose Crop Top
£35

The 'All About Rose' collection is a limited edition range inspired from British heritage, so in other words, pastel heaven! There are so many pieces from this collection that I could buy, however, I settled from this beautiful little pink crop top. Unfortunately, this isn't available in the pink colour anymore as it is in the sale for £25 (grrr), however the ivory and black colours are still available!

Petite Orange Sleeveless Shirt
£18

I've been looking for a plain orange shirt for a while now, but everywhere I looked they either didn't have my size or else I just didn't like the look of it. So I was super excited when I saw this one online, even more so because it was from their petite collection!

So, that was everything from my Dorothy Perkins haul and I must say, I'm so impressed with everything! I did order a pair of sunglasses (here) but I had to return them as they were so big for my pea head which was such a shame as they were so lovely!

What do you think of my Dorothy Perkins haul? Would you buy anything from it? Let me know in the comments!

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

Everyone and their dog has heard of or own this palette and that is completely understandable as it is just so gorgeous! If you didn't know, this is a neutral palette, but with a twist. Unlike the Naked 2 palette which is primarily neutral shades, the Naked 3 features mainly taupe, pink and rose gold neutral shades. However, don't be afraid of wearing pink shades as they are surprisingly wearable and I've given all of the shades a go!
I don't actually own the Naked 1 or Naked 2 palette (however I do have my eye on the Naked 2 palette), but I do have the Naked Basics palette and I use and love it so much. The quality and colour payoff of the Naked Basics palette is brilliant, so I was expecting a lot from the Naked 3 palette and it did not disappoint! All of the shades are so highly pigmented and blendable, so a little goes a long way.
I was actually quite worried that these shades wouldn't suit my pale skin and dark brown eyes, but I was so surprised about how wearable they are once they are applied and how great they look together. Usually I'm not fond of the eyeshadow brushes that you get in palettes, but I have to say, this one is pretty great! The fluffy brush is great for applying eyeshadow all over the eyelid and the smaller brush is great for blending.
Oh, and don't forget the four fabulous eyeshadow primers that come with it. You get four primers in total, 'Original', 'Eden', 'Sin' and 'Anti-Aging', each have about a week's worth of primer in each sample. I used 'Original', 'Eden' and 'Sin', However, my Mum was just as intrigued and drawn in by the Naked 3 palette as I was, so I did her eye make-up and used the 'Anti-Aging' primer and she loved it! That's another great thing about this palette, it would make a great gift for a special female in your life, whether that be your best friend, your Mum or your aunt! My Mum loves a neutral eye just as much of me, so her favourites from the palette are 'Limit', 'Nooner' and 'Liar'.
The Naked 3 palette has 12 eyeshadows in total, 3 matte, actually more satin shades and 9 shimmer shades, so if you're not a lover of a bit of glitter on your eyes then this isn't the palette for you. Also, at £37 it isn't the cheapest eyeshadow palette about, but in my opinion it is worth the money. My favourite shades would have to be 'Buzz', 'Trick', 'Mugshot', okay let's be real, I love them all!

What do you think of the Naked 3 palette? Would you buy it? Or have you already got it? Let me know in the comments!

Boohoo Haul

I often find myself browsing through the pages on Boohoo, they have so many lovely clothes at such an affordable prize, so recently I found that I had to purchase a few things! It's just an added bonus that they do student discounts as well!

£20

I love wearing cami tops, but one thing I'm always wary of is the straps, if they aren't adjustable I just can't wear them because they go too far down (wayyy too down). However, this one had adjustable straps and sits lovely when it's on. Also, look at all those peachy pink embellishments!

Samantha Lace Trim Tee (Out of stock)
£12

It's not like I need another white top, but when I spotted a very similar top in Miss Selfridge a week or two ago I instantly fell in love with it, but then, they didn't have my size. So, naturally I was over the moon when I saw this almost identical one on Boohoo and for half the price compared to the Miss Selfridge one, wooo!

£5

Everywhere I looked for this it was out of stock, so I was so happy when I saw it on Boohoo! You've probably seen this before on my Nail Polish Haul and in multiple NOTW, I'm just really enjoying using it!

What do you think of my Boohoo haul? Would you buy anything from it? Let me know in the comments!

Topshop Lip Bullet

I'd seen these Topshop lip bullets online before and wanted to try them for a very long time, however, there was no way of seeing what the colours were like in real life as my local Topshop don't stock any of the make-up (boo), so I decided to risk it and order it online and I must say, I'm glad I did!

I picked the shade 'Covet', which is a really pretty pink nude which I think would look lovely on many skin tones. I have porcelain skin and I was worried that this wouldn't suit me incase it made me look even paler, but thankfully it doesn't. I describe it as a 'my lips but better' sort of shade.

The formula is creamy and it dries down to what can only can be described as a dewy finish, not glossy and not matte, just right if you don't know what to go for. I found it to be very buildable as well, sometimes I would go for the full coverage and when I want less lip make-up I just dab it onto my lips and blend it out with my finger for a little wash of colour.

I do really like using this and I can see myself purchasing more in the near future, there are 8 shades in total and I'm really drawn to 'Crave', Heartbeat' and 'There She Goes'. At £8 each they aren't going to break the bank either!

What do you think of the Topshop lip bullets? Have you tried them? Or would you like to try them? Let me know in the comments!

Nails Of The Week | Manicure Monday

So, I thought it was about time I gave the Barry M 'Aquarium' range a go. I couldn't decide whether to choose the pink (Mediterranean) or the blue (Pacific), so I went for both! I then put the gold glitter (Treasure Chest) on top of Mediterranean and the blue glitter (Mermaid) on top of Pacific.

ASOS Haul

Ahhhhh ASOS, my love and weakness. I think ASOS has to be my favourite online shop. Simply because of the amazing range of beauty products, a petite range and size 2 shoes, it's everything I'm looking for. So, recently when they had a 25% off discount code available for students, I couldn't say no! So, here's what I bought...

ASOS PETITE Pink Stripe Jumper With Heart Elbow Patches
£22

I've had my eye on this little jumper for a while now, it's lightweight, it has stripes, it has hearts on the elbows, it's pink. What's not to love? You might think it's a little bit strange that I'm buying jumpers when Summer is here, but as I am writing this it is pouring rain and there's thunder on the way. However, even when the weather does improve (hopefully), I'll be able to wear this as it's so light. It is also available in the normal range and the tall range and come in a few different colours as well (including a mint one that I have my eye on).

Models Own Fireworks Nail Polish Trio
£7

You've probably seen these before on my blog, I included them on my Nail Polish Haul post and I've used them a few times for NOTW. Models Own nail polishes usually retail for £5 each, however, as this was an ASOS exclusive set all three came to £12, they then reduced the price to £7, bargain!

£26.50

Now, it's not like I need another eyeshadow palette, but ever since I became interested in high-end make-up this has been on my wishlist, but I couldn't find it anywhere or else it was always out of stock. Then, the wonderful people at ASOS decided to bring theBalm to their make-up range, hurray! I will definitely be doing a review of this in the future, I'm completely and utterly in love with this palette and now I'm kind-of obsessed with the brand and want to try more! Always the way, eh?

What did you think of my ASOS haul? Would you buy anything from it? Let me know in the comments!
